pollas lucas is the bomb...I would try your place but after seaside reservations people at Bella Sirena screwed me over 2 years in a row, then our Fishing charter lady I book through completely blew me off as me and my kids sat on the dock, I wont be going back to Rocky Point for a while...;Good luck on your restaraunt

I take all criticism to heart and we work every day to make our place the best we can. Some people are going to like it and some are not no matter what you do. All I know is business is growing and every month has been better than the last one. In March we are adding an authentic mesquite wood smoker and BBQ will be on our menu. Some of you have made up your minds because of a bad experience a year ago, some just read something and decided we weren't worth going to visit. That's Ok choice is good but obviously someone likes us and we know from current feedback our food and drinks are reasonable and our service is improving. So we still have Cold Beer, Great drinks and awesome food at a reasonable price for Rocky Point. Sunday Fried Chicken at $12.00 for a whole chicken is a bargain but you better get there early.........I'ts Busy[/QUOTE
Your Chicken is Wonderful.. Better than the Coronel's..

As one of the owners of the Satisfied Frog I want to apologize to anyone who had a bad experience on opening weekend. No excuses and we have fixed the opening problems.
I am hearing good things now about Satisfied Frog, Is it open during winter season? This is now on our "to try" restaurant list , unfortunately for us we can't make it back to Puerto Peñasco until February (last Feb. Quite a few restaurants were closed, understandably if its too slow to turn a profit but good to know where to plan on going)

February is the high season for restaurants as that is when the most gringos are here. Many restaurants close for extended periods in the summer. While you are in the vicinity of the Satisfied Frog also try the Maria Bonita Restaurant in the back of the Vina Del Mar Hotel next door. Great Mexican and Seafood and the service is fantastic.

Thanks! Sooooo good to know! One of the restaurants that were closed last Feb I am now remembering was being remodeled (Emiliano's at the Sonora Sun) we did get to try that chef's restaurant that is now where Don Julio's used to be on Fremont, I believe it's called Hacienda Las Fuentes, and it was DELICIOUS! I wasn't too fond of Don Julio's food but loved the place so just a heads up if anyone wanted to try it.
I have heard a lot about Mary's so we will probably try that too, what are the prices like there? Do you suggest breakfast, lunch or dinner? We'll definitely be hitting the Satisfied Frog at late lunch dinner time due to how the atmosphere seems.

Thanks! We actually tried there a couple weeks ago after reading great reviews and we were pretty impressed, great prices too for what you get we will definitely be back there

Hold on there just one effen minute please............

Had a FANTASTIC dinner there this past Friday night. Got ONE order of the Friday special that included beef ribs, pork ribs, fried chicken, breaded fish, breaded shrimp and french fries at EIGHTEEN DOLLARS!!

Two of us could barely eat half of it. Had enough leftovers for lunch on the beach the next day. Those guys have the BEST ribs in town PERIOD! They are not kidding when they advertise the best magaritas in town either.

Made with real liquor, not the watered down jug of yellow tinted toilet bowl cleaner used at every other place in town. The only other joint with alcohol in their mixed drinks is the Mayan Palace poolside bar. We always stop there on the way back from the desert or Southern beaches for a good buzz for the final leg home. Mrs. Willy usually orders vodka on the rocks which is supposed to be two or three ice cubes covered with straight vodka right from the bottle, which is exactly what the Frog brings you. Try gettin that from any other place in PP. I call em Mormon Mixers, just like what you get from the "bar" at Applebee's, Red Robin, Red Lobster or Olive Garden, God Forbid that you might walk out of one of those joints a little tipsy.

Let's talk atmosphere now, at the Frog you can actually talk to the person sitting next to you, not scream at each other over the maxed out sound from four or more big screens with all forms of moronic ball games going on that no one even looks at. Not to mention the maxed out Mexican Rap music blasting from dozens of speakers all over the place.

We did last New Years Eve there as well, our very first time at the Frog. They were totally packed that night with reserved tables but let us in anyways, we got a small table next to the entertainers right at the front door. After only an hour or less the light weights started leaving and we got two stools at the bar. We stayed till they shut down the next morning. Ate some of the best ribs ever, can't recall how many drinks we put down and paid only 100 bucks for the night. Musta' been good since the Mrs. Willy slipped and broke her leg on the way out of the place. The waiters even carried her to our truck!

The last time we had anything that came near their stuff was the barbecue place long gone now across from good old Wow-Wow's.

If any of you dare check em out, ask for the waiter Julian, he will take care of you!

Guess you haven't had Chino's tacos de Carne de Perro con Salsa Caca de Mosca lately.....

Most people can barely make it from his cart to the bowl.

I visited there for the first time this week. Not my kind of food . . . But I will say that the margaritas are almost as good as those at Casa Del Capitan. (Oh, and some previous Del Capitan servers are behind the counter.)
