Las Palomas or Sonoran SUN, which would you choose?

My wife and are planning to buy a condo in SB soon! Our plans are to have a place to use and rent (live in PHX). We wanted to rent it some to help pay for the HOA's and Maintenance fees. We plan on being there 6 to 8 weeks a year. We like the privacy of the SUN, but we love the pools and general fun of Las Palomas. What would you suggest?

Hey Matt. Stop by the Sonoran Sky sales office and ask for my buddy, Mark.. He can help you with any of the Sonoran Resorts.

Sonoran's are wonderfully managed and so well kept! Don't know about Las Palomas. We love the Sonoran Sea!!!

I'd pick the Sonoran Sun over Las Palomas any day. BUT, the only downside is the proximity to the pier (aka someday port?). I wouldn't want to be that close to it. The only one closer is Esmeralda.

That is a great point. I never thought of that. Do you think the Pier access road will go right by the Resorts there or go further north to the Choya road, away from the resorts?

I have owned at Sonoran Spa (great) Las Palomas (awful) and still have a place at Bella. The crowds are much smaller at the other resorts. On weekends at LP you could not sleep on weekends with the patio door open.

Not sure about the road, but you might be able to find the proposed development plan on this forum somewhere. I recall seeing it at the end of 2013 when they first started work on the project. If this ever happens there will be a lot of development right behind the Sonoran Suns - and most of the Sandy Beach Resorts for that matter - but to have the pier directly in front of me from my condo balcony would not be fun.
