Any know anything about Granada Hotel or El Mirador Hotel? We will be in PDO Oct 30th and some friend want to come down for a few days. Does PDO rent trailers?

The old Granada is the only hotel in Penasco where you step out of your room directly on the beach. First floor had fireplace and kitchen. If you want top drawer luxury this aint the place but it was my favorite when I wanted to be on the beach. Old Port, go to La Roka.

We stayed at the Granada about 20 years ago when the Pitaya was a Disco. The hotel was very simple back in the day or kids grew up running around that place.Do you know anything about the El Mirador on the other side of PDO

It's OK, I guess, never went inside. My nephew stays there. I'ts newer and more modern, not fancy, no restaurant, might be a pool there. It's multi story, guess they have an elevator, but....... I'd be concerned abut the BLAST of noise coming from the old Sandbar location across the street. They have a first class sound system that generates some serious , unplesant, sound and the 6 ft tall speakers are aimed right at the hotel. The bass penetrates everything. I lived behind there, moved out because of it. Impossible to sleep till after closing at 3,4, or 5 AM. You would be right next to the new Mens Club though. Not sure about the rates but last I can recall about $50 USD. Sorry not much help there.

The Pitaya is dead now so don't be concerned about the noise there!! I think the upstairs restaurant does breakfast and lunch, not sure. There is a little palapa bar there on the beach side and I think the bar down is open sometimes but no pasa nada.

The kitchen has a stove and refrigerator no dishes or silverware. You can't beat having your own palapa and the beach at your back door!

Did you try telling someone in the office or bar about the kids? Or did you just stay in the room? My friends were upstairs beach side and didn't say anything about screaming kids last weekend...
