We have been looking Online at condos at the Sonoran Spa, my fiancé loves the views. The Bella Sirena and the Princessa. We have heard some of these places are not managed well but, that the Sonorans are managed quite well indeed. Any advice on this subject?
We will be coming down in the Spring to check things out before we buy of course.
We did catch an episode of House Hunter's International in Puerto Penasco, where they featured a man that seemed to be a very good and reputable REA?
I know you must have Mexican citizenship to own in Mexico and we've heard some bad stories about how these places are managed, sold, high fee's and so on. We were given advice to retain a Mexican RE Attorney and will be looking into that.
Any advice on these places or other's that are managed well and are reputable, as we will only be there part time and need peace of mind when we are not there.
Or any places that are the worst to buy at? Thanks in advance for your advice! :D

! :D
Not true that you need citizenship to buy here. If you are along the coast or the border you will need to get a Bank Trust, Fidecomisso, to hold the property. You can hire an attorney if you want but it's not necessary. You definately need to educate yourself. Do some searches here there has been lots of good information posted.

I owned at Spa. I bought there before they were built. I wish I had stayed there. But no, there was a bigger and better place with a golf course being built so I sold and bought a nightmare. Owners at Spa seem to still be happy. The view I had was great.

Such a genteel and polite way to throw Dan under the bus.
Like I said, Dan is a friend of mine, I would never try to take a client from another Realtor.

If HOTIRON is looking for advice from a Realtor, I am there to answer any questions. But I will not give out confidential intel over a "chat room". HOTIRON is very smart in asking about the complexes as each one has a different personality. By going to my WEB SITE would allow me to talk to HOTIRON.
Happy Easter.

Wow assuming that to be true, things are much worse than anyone thought as he lists ONE property sold.
your cute... I don't think he updates his site to show what has sold in any particular time. I know at LP he has been involved in about 40 transactions over the last year

PLEASE REMEMBER, Licensed Realtors in Penasco belong to AMPI. The MLS website is updated for the agents automatically when property is sold on a new listing in listed. You need to decide which agent you would like to represent you then call him or her to interview them. We professional Realtors try to keep the "gypsies" out of Penasco but sometimes one or two slide in sp always be careful.
