Although 25 people were rescued, two are reported missing, after an event in ATVs, near Agua Prieta's State Civil Protection Unit (UEPC) intensified search and rescue in the stream of Cabullona Ejido, where up far been rescued unharmed 25 people in the group of hikers Cuatreros Off Road, as there are two missing and unfortunately have confirmed nine deaths.

The owner of the UEPC, Carlos Arias reported that since early hour tasks resumed search and rescue in the tragedy, about 12 kilometers from Agua Prieta, where they remain more than 200 items of different corporations of the municipality and Army.

He said that on Tuesday around 14:00 hours were it located the bodies of three more females identified as Brenda Esmeralda Cruz Rivera 9, Teresa Reyes

17 years, and one unidentified body; added to this total, six women and three men dead.

"So far 25 people are rescued completely unscathed, there are still two missing and unfortunately have confirmed nine deaths, a toll of this tragedy that started on a ride from a group of fans of all-terrain 4x4 activities," the state official .

They acknowledged the work and effort relentlessly the Mexican Army, Federal Preventive Police, Municipal Police, Fire Hermosillo, Agua Prieta, Borders and Nacozari coordinated with the same goal of supporting the families of the victims and those who have not yet been located.

Reported that still continue the search for the two missing persons and will do until daylight permits, as the National Weather Service announced that there are 30

percent chance of rain in the evening, especially in the upper part of the mountain, said Carlos Arias.

It sounds like someone got stuck, lots of others were in the stream trying to pull them out and they got hit with a rapid increase in flow from an upstream storm and washed away ?? Odd because most desert dwellers know to watch for upstream storms and the wall of water that can result in even usually dry arroyos. A two foot wall of water carries a tremendous force and can roll a vehicle. Guess these people were all city dwellers. A real trajedy for the families.

Roberto, I met some of them while they were riding in the dunes south of my place at Santo Tomas near Germans Point.They had good equipment and good attitudes plus gave me a cold beer.....they took family members on this trip and when the kids got in trouble everyone tried to get to them...
