evicted from bella sirena part 1

I own at Bella. My unit has had little damage by renters. Most of the people that come here know that there are very few rental units so it is very quiet. I have owned at other places. Spa was quiet and keep things under control. LP was awful. The noise was so bad on weekends, the dog couldn't even sleep. I love Bella but then I an old.

Interesting how one post put this entire thread into perspective for me.

Sounds to me that security had good reason to ask the group to leave. Perhaps their timing could have been better, but bottles do not belong in a pool area, nor do cigarettes or radios at night. The other guests in the complex have rights as well and do not deserve to be kept awake by impolite rowdy folks. Don't like the rules? Go dry camp somewhere on the beach. Grow up MM!

as a previous condo owner I am familiar with the rr, however there were a lot of people from mexico that were not. we were never warned, security would come and ask us to turn down the radio and we would, if they came to ask something we always complied. as I condo owner, I know they system, one verbal warning, a written, a fine, none of those were given to us, I do know that the owner is responsible for want his guests , and if the owner does not want to take the risk, well they shouldn't rent them out.
Those Rules & Regs you say you are familiar with only pertain to the owners. Again, the "system" you mention of one verbal warning, written notice, and a fine would be given to an owner, not renters. If you are renting directly from a rental agency and they are repeatedly telling people in your party that they are breaking certain rules, then I would say you are setting yourselves up to be evicted. However, I do agree that they could have evicted you in the morning and not late at night like they did.

I still think their behavior was a lot worse than what we were being told by Maria.

You're probably right, two sides to every story. It would be interesting to hear the other side....may explain why they were evicted late at night.

But for her to think that they would receive a written warning and a fine before eviction, that's just not going to happen in a case like this. Also she states "that the owner is responsible for his guests, and if the owner does not want to take the risk, well they shouldn't rent them out." That also does not pertain to this situation. That would only pertain if they rented directly from the owner. If they are renting from Seaside or some other short term rental agency, then the owner is not responsible for the guests' actions.

Here's an additional review from the Bella Sirena Trip Advisor page from someone who was also with Maria M:

"We were ask to leave the facility because we had a brief argument with an idiot security guard that acted like a punk, and they threw us out of the facility at 1:00 am with 8 Kids under the age of 6 years old without giving us a chance to just spend the night so the Kids could have a good night sleep, this is just unacceptable and inhumane treatment to people, they asks us to leave without even issuing a warning so we ended leaving the facility at 4:00 and we had to drive back to san diego California without any Kind of sleep. The responsible for this treatment is Mr Daniel López Deheza or at least that was the name he was working under because he repeatedly refuse to give his name, never go to this place their customer service is pathetic"

I have had vacation rentals for many years. Sunriver, Palm Springs and Penasco. 99% of my renter have no problems and cause no problems. But I notice that it is changing. I no longer own in Palm Springs because it just got to hard to control the drinking and pool. Bella is my only property in Penasco and we have never had any problems there. It doesn't have live music and no pool slides. We seem to get small families that are worn out by 9 at night. I leave my patios doors open at night and have never been bothered by any noise. I have been there from the start and I have had renters tell me that it is too quiet and there is no action after 9 o'clock. At one time we spent alot of time in San Carlos but it got so noisy, that you couldn't sleep and the dive boats wnet out early. hen we gave that up we came to Penasco. There are advantages to not being young anymore.

We're at the Sky. We too leave our patio door open at night. We like the breeze and the sound of the ocean. They do have live music during the day and they have a pool slide, but they are really good at making sure that by 10:00 pm that the pools are closed and everything is quiet.

Same at Las Palmas. By 10:15 or so, the pool is silent.

Am I missing something there or did I read this wrong- 24 people check in to a condo that is meant to sleep 4 persons and the group wonders why there are not enough towels? Then despite being warned about the volume of their music, the group has to be approached yet again because the volume is too high still. My only question is why did it take management that long to evict this group?

Yes I believe you missed something. I believe they had 5 rooms total. 24 individuals 9 of which were children. would be tight but I think you could make it work.
