Inshore Flounder

Any of my RP Professional Pro's know if the inshore flounder have started arriving? I thought it was safe to assume that they start arriving in November. Thinking about a quick turn and burn. Would like to have a probability beforehand. Thanks in advance! As always...

Ok, 55 views no response. Let me rephrase the question. Can I have your opinion on Flounder fishing in November?

That sounds fun, never caught a flounder. What bait do they use? I understand they do a lot of chumming in places like louisiana

How long does 'Flounder Season' go? We will be down over Christmas for 2 weeks.

I caught a nice one in Kino from my kayak last thanksgiving, it hit on a silver spoon after bouncing it off a rocky shoreline into a deep pool and reeling. It was exciting! And tasty!

I've seen them displayed at JJ's boat launch from Nov-March. Yep, very tasty.

Flounder is one of my favorites. We buy it at Sea Products frozen and bread it and fry it in canola oil. Yum! The medium filets are a little over $3 a pound ($100 pesos/Kilo) and worth every penny. Here is a photo of their prices taken a couple of weeks ago.

There is a nice sandy area just west of Pinto Point in Cholla. You can see it on google maps. I alway thought if I was a flounder that's where I would hangout.

Friend caught what he thought was probably a 10 pounder. He thought it was a big ray till he got it up. He says also look for a deep spot and that's where they hang out.

I thought it was too windy New Year's eve for boating so I hit La Pinta estuary after high tide. Found numerous flounder close to shore and kept a few. They were predominately females with immature egg sacs developing. Great way to end 2014! Using silver spoons retrieved very slowly. Tight lines to everyone in 2015!!!
