    Full Moon Fishing ??

Interesting you included this Kenny. I always try to take some good photos of the Osprey's when out fishing and got some killer one's on this trip as well. They are such cool birds, and yes, they are the ultimate 'fish killers'! Thanks for this link. Looking forward to checking out in more...

    Full Moon Fishing ??

Curious... we were down this past week from Wednesday (5th) through Monday. We fished Thursday and Friday off the point, from shore, below the lighthouse and around Manny's. We also ran out to La Morua last 2 days. First cast on both Thurs & Friday, hooked up on a huge Pampano and Sea...

Best Seafood Resterant in Rocky Point

One of the best places for seafood in all of Rocky Point is MARISCOS EL CONCHAL. Family owned and operated, very clean and the food is fantastic. You know its good because it it always packed with locals. Easy to find, right on Benito Juarez. Here's a link with a photo...

    No parking signs !!

The common sense factor for these vendors has always amazed me. They are at their stalls ALL DAY, so they park in front, take up all the spaces and then make a tourist who might be there for 15-60 min walk a distance to do business with them?? I guess that's the same logic that is used with...

    bombs going off

The first 'bomb' woke myself, wife and daughter out of bed about 1am. I saw several more transformers blow over the next couple hours. Guard gate was very quick in getting the electric co out and we had power back on by 8am. Pretty crazy seeing all those transformers blow up , up and down...

    Best Margaritas in Old Port?

I know for sure that Casa del Capitan uses freshly squeezed limes for their Margaritas, along with a generous amount of tequila. 1 usually does the trick and goes really well with the ceviche tostadas. Can't beat that view either. Not sure what La Curva uses, but their margs are not sweet and...

60 miles South of San Felipe boat sinks many dead

Another quote from article: "The Coast Guard is sending her daily emails containing maps of where the search has been conducted so far. She said she was told that divers also will attempt to reach the sunken boat once the search shifts into “recovery mode.” My question is, why in the...

60 miles South of San Felipe boat sinks many dead

You just gotta love this quote from the article: "The group left San Felipe Thursday morning armed with a letter from U.S. consulate officials that urged their safe passage home. The letter was necessary because the men lost their passports, driver’s licenses and everything else they had...

    La Cita Cafe

I'm sorry, not sure what 'tacos dorados' mean? They are basic soft tacos. The flour are folded over and lightly grilled. If you get corn, they usually put them in foil so they are soft and steamy and hot. As far as table cream goes, I have never seen that at Brisas.

    Taco Brisas

posting this on this "Tacos Brisas" thread as I just posted on the La Cita thread and didn't realize it until afterward. Makes more sense to be here: "Don't forget the fresh green chile strips on this dish as well! This is definitely one of the best meals for just 'pure grub' in all of...

    La Cita Cafe

Don't forget the fresh green chile strips on this dish as well! This is definitely one of the best meals for just 'pure grub' in all of Rocky Point. By the way, at Tacos Brisas, the owner (Gama) calls this dish "Papas Rellenos". It is $7 as stated prior, yet it is probably the equivalent...

    Kayak fishing 5/23-5/26/11

You have to navigate a little sand road that runs towards the back part of the estuary and then go over the dune. Make sure you have very good 4-wheel drive if you are bringing your kayak out there by truck. Have seen so many vehicles stuck out there. Regarding that actually fishing...

    Reggie's 8/12

Stuart, I also was bummed about the 'Tacate takeover'. Not sure if you know however that if you stand at the entrance of Reggie's, looking out across that open dirt field, just 1 block over there is little liquor store with a big roll-up door attached to the building and they sell...

topwater lures and jig fishing from shore

From my experience, the flounder seem to move out of the estuaries and into deeper water when the water temps rise. Again, just my experience. I caught 3 very nice flounder fishing from shore, back in late March and using Kastmasters. I have also played around in the past using rapala type...
