Well fishing was little slow. Lots of yellowtail in area and was able to get one right away on a popper but so much bait in area made them a tough bite. Got 2 nice cabrilla and a gulf grouper as well. Overall had a good time and caught some nice fish.

Yeah full day trip. Boat looks to be probably 28ft with twin outboards so more fishing time on the grounds. I love fishing pangas myself but have some buddies with that aren't used to offshore fishing at all. Let me know how your trip goes hope you get on some good ones.

I wanna say it was $600 for 21 mile reef trip if my memory is correct. Charter is on Saturday and got buddies down with me this time to split. Do you surf fish? I'll be doing that rest of time and plenty of fish to be caught from the sand.

My understanding is they're Cortez Halibut.

Appreciate the tips guys. Was able to have a good few hours of fishing this morning. Zman diesel minnow smoke shad color I believe. 3/8 jig head.

Coming down to RP Friday to Wednesday and wanted to see whats been biting from shore. Staying on Playa Miramar so was planning to fish inlet on incoming tide Anyone catching halibut?

When do those Temps normally hit? Mid.november?

So are the cooler weather months better for Cortez Halibut(flounder) from the beach?

Hi all, new to the forum and RP. I've been reading through the forums and notice people talking about San Carlos for billfish and pelagic. However, I have no clue where this is and can't find on map. Looks like Los Lobos is another better option than RP for good sized bottom fish.
