Taking boat to rocky point

I applied for TIP a few days ago. I still have not received permit. I have recite of filing online for it. Will the border customs let take boat to rocky point? Any suggestion? I have a 4 hour drive to boarder at lukevill and don't want to be turned around. I have all other paper work registration, title to trailer and COD for boat.

I believe you will be fine with the paperwork you have unless they recently have become very stringent.

Actually I was. Was able to get TIP at San Luis crossing. The boarder agents were very helpfully. I was able to get the TIP bc I did not already have it assigned to my passport number. Cost 74 bucks.

Must only apply to motor boats, brought the Hobie down last Thursday and did not have to show any paperwork.
