I used to do it...........total waste of time and gear.
Back in the Sun-N-Fun dive shop days. We set up around twenty spinning outfits and twenty more conventional surf casting/jigging outfits. Every single one came back totally screwed up. Maybe one out of fifty renters had a clue as to using the stuff. They turned them in at the end of the day with balled up line, sand in the gearwork, half or more of the line missing, on and on. Made much more selling complete outfits and related tackle as no locals even today attempt the business in a positive way. I'd smuggle ten or twelve setups in my boat and the rare times when the aduanas noticed them I told them that a boat like that needs a bunch of tackle.
