Trailer Parks

It is so sad to see so many trailer parks shut down. I remember a few years ago the area of the Mirador was so full of snowbirds at this time. You would barely be able to drive along there because so many people would be out for their morning walk or walking their dogs.

We went to the Reef and you could count on one hand the number of trailers there. Playa Bonita had about half their beachfront spots full, but most of them were Arizona license plates. Playa de Oro had the most, but no where near what they did in the past.

The worst part is that it was so unnecessary to shut down Miramar and Playa Elegante when nothing has been done with that land all these years. The condo development at Playa Elegante is for sale.

I feel so safe down here, while the media has helped turn RP into a place to avoid. What a shame!

I agree, and sadly feel that it will take some time to ever return to any resemblance of past normality.:?:

Our close friend Hiedi's father was the original owner of Playa Elegante and it just makes her sick everytime she comes down and sees what has become of her fathers hard work and dreams.

I agree it is a shame that all these old RV Parks are now becoming a collection spot for nothing more than garbage... the people that own them now are just neglecting them and letting them become local dumps...

I think the owners should at least keep the litter picked up to keep them from being even bigger eye sores than they are right now...

Larry Large ran out the good people of Playa Elegante and in doing so killed a lot of business. It will take years for them to come back, if ever. The town make it clear that they were not welcome when they pandered to the condo people. What do people in the RVs/trailers do in town? They went out to eat, drink and have fun. Locals worked waxing and repairing the trailers. Condo folks stay in and prepare their own meals and relaxe at the condos. Many of the trailer people were on fixed incomes. Bars raised their prices for the condo folks. Now the bars are either empty or close. This in indisputable. Yes, it it sad. There is enough beach and sea for both the trailer folks and condo folks.

The Playa Bonita "family" built their 2 hotels little by little....they had a steady cash flow coming in from the RV park, with minimal overhead....they had a great business at the hotel restaurant/bar from the rv'ers. If you look at the Mirador...there are only a couple of viable bars open(not counting the "gentlemen's club")....and I'm sure it has something to do with there only being 2 rv parks left on the strip.....even Manny's has been suffering, and the Pink Cadillac is pretty well deserted nowadays. And the Pithaya????.....what's that?

I have nothing against the pigeon coop types (as one of the previous members of this forum referred to them as).....but the town just developed too fast...and in one direction....catering to that type of clientele. I know many of us rv'ers spent a lot of time in Penasco, even before we had rv's and camped in tents....I used to spend at least 3 weeks during the summer (one each month), and several weekends throughout the year. I wonder if that can be said for the condo owners??? How many purchased as get rich thoughts, with little intent to actually spend time in Penasco???

Hey...maybe I'm wrong...but it's food for thought!

I can't tell you how much "Dancing on the Sundeck" went on at Smuggler's Cove. If I wrote a book on my years at Miramar it would be a foot thick! Dancing, Dominoes, Poker, Sleeping, Dreaming, Dolphin and Pelican antics and the banana boats. Rum and Cokes and Banana Daquiries. Beach campfires and morning coffee and Kahlua watching the day wake up. Visits from Lupe, the burrito lady and Delano, the seashell man, looking for a Pacifico at 8 A.M. Visits from Victor and his paintings for sale. Watching the kids grow up and little kid beach treasures in buckets. Fish fries and Shrimp Scampi. Sandy scuba diving equipment everywhere. Watching the Brisa creep in on little cat feet and watching the transformers blow up. The pink sea at night. A thousand sunsets on the Sea of Cortez. Sigh........

Sorry, I couldn't resist whining...... I treasure every memory and I will never forget............

You guys need to head South to Santo Tomas.Buy fish and shrimp on the beach, produce from the farmers. It is still like the old days in some ways.

At the start of the conversion I remember a local (old man walking) throwing dirt balls at the cars going by and cursing the change; gringo go home he yelled at each passing car with foreign plates) It was sad scene as he foresaw the disaster to the local people and their way of life. He knew him and his family would not be part of the future there.

The bartender at the parrot (from Mayan can not remember his name) would laugh with us at the outsiders paying Miami prices AND be on the hook for management fees for these cold structures. Catering and focusing on this small group of outsiders has done irreparable harm to PP.

The color and life seems to be gone and the light continues to dim. Sure miss the dancing on top of the porches build on top of trailers so prevalent at mirador with the sea breeze cooling that dancing sweat. Nothing like the life surrounding the trailer parks until the wee hours of the morning.

Visitors forget that $US500 a month is a great salary in Mexico, minimum wage went up this year but actually dropped in dollar terms to under $US 4.00 a DAY. A Hotel receptionist might earn 300 and an accountant 600 a month. Charging $12 for "take as you walk shrimp cocktail" at El malecon does not help. Gone is our first stop at the malecon for this tasty treat, 3$ small and 5$ GRANDE. Last time in was $12 for lime juice and Clamato with sprinkles of small things called shrimp. Not "el Grande" for me.

The last time I remember seeing that (dancing on the decks/porches) was about 4 years ago...........before Mirimar and Elegante closed down....was down for the Biker Rally.....

I recall all the great friendships I made at Playa Bonita years ago....

I can still get a "grande" shrimp cocktail at one of the Malecon bars...but it's now $9....though it's enough for a meal!! And the man who is day manager/caretaker of the rv park I'm in makes $80/week.....and depends on any odd jobs us trailer trash can give him!

I can not disagree with anyone. We all have our own great memories of how it was. Maybe it has passed us by. I hope not. I hope that the town is just temperorarily stalled. This years bike rally was less attended but yet for me, more fun. Going to Capones does not have the same zeal as any of the Margaritavillas. The Sombrero has moved inside and outside Mannys was caged. Nowdays I leave before I intended to and forgo trips that were intended. Changes in attitude, changes in latitude. Nothing remains the same. Jimmy Buffett.

Can you still camp on Sandy Beach or are those days long gone?

The Reef still has "dry" camping as far as I know. Don't know what they are charging.....$5 per night??????

Let me continue, pot luck dinners, spanish lessons, exercise classes, line dancing, bingo every Tuesday and Thursday, arts and crafts, horseshoe contests, cooking chicken soup for the poor kids every Saturday morning, big Thanksgiving dinners, ...sigh

We went down in our little trailer once a month before we were married, by the time Elegante closed, we had five children, seven grandchildren and Elegante was our winter home.

One of the worst parts of it closing was that it closed before October and we never had a chance to say goodbye to each other. We knew so many by their first name and where they were from. I often wonder where they are now!

not like it used to be

we have virtually no history in PP compared to you folks.
what HAS changed for us over the past 5 years is the Mirador motel next to PDO.
gone are the travel trailers to rent, as well as what I thought were the finest accomodations in all of PP -
units 1-4 on the beach at Mirador.
on a holiday weekend, they were 100/nt. I have not seen ANY accomodations for rent SO close to the beach, and SO relaxed.
a fresh water shower at the top of the steps, a huge palapa with picnic tables and a large BBQ pit - it was heaven. in our short time, we usually had friends in one of the units there while we had our rv next door in PDO.
once the trailers were pulled up, and that horrible motel built - it was changed forever.

Jerry - I agree that Santo Tomas is beautiful, but until there's an rv park with full hookups, it's just not affordable for those of us who only come down once in a while.
rather than lament the changes - let's embrace what we still have left along the Mirador corridor, and enjoy each and every sunrise and sunset.

Back in the early 90's my friends and I would road trip from Durango Colorado to Rocky Point for our spring break. I loved it because our break fell before the big schools so the town was quite mellow. We camped the first couple years on Sandy Beach which was fairly primitive. There were probably about a dozen vehicles camped out during that time. Always enjoyed heading into town to buy large shrimp and asparagus to grill on the beach. Add some dos xx and nothing seemed better!!!

One year we camped 5 star in front of the Pitahya. $10 a car to camp right on the beach with a nice shower/bathroom facility right behind us. Good times! More shrimp, more dos xx.

Went back there a few years with some friends and rented a condo for a couple hundred a night. Could not believe they were selling for $250,000. Seemed a bit early to have these prices at a premium. Went to the off the beaten path oyster farm north of Los Conchas and were greeted with some locals drinking bud light and playing around with their dog. Everything seemed fine until one of them pulled out a gun and started twirling it. Now from what I know this person was either policia or bandito. It was quite unnerving. The ladies behind the counter just minded their own business. I told the girls to get in the van while I tried to figure out what the hell was going on. One of the 3 men seemed to just want to scare us and see how we would react. With my limited spanish I wanted assure them that we just wanted to have some oysters and then move on. They finally left. My friends still can't tell their parents about that time or they would be banned from ever returning. And my friends are all almost 40!! :)

This incident has never deterred me from returning to Baja/Mexico. I have always been aware of my surroundings and have used common sense. I felt bad that I took my friends to a unique place and this had to happen.

I love Mexico for the people, culture, raw experiences (good or scary), food, and the simplicity in which most live out of necessity. I will be returning next week for a few days with a friend and will definately be going back to the oyster farm. I just hope it's open!

My understanding is that there is a new airport that just opened up? One that will eventually be serving commercial flights. If so, then that could only be could news for property owners and business owners. Rocky Point is a charming place that deserves to thrive. Unfortunately when greed comes into play, nothing survives.

Buena Suerte!!!

I know Joe but I'm still working on the Rvpark down by the fish camp idea. The coastal road is going to come within 5 miles of Santo Tomas by summer and would be a great stop off for exploring the coast. if anyone has a spare 200k i think they could get it going on a small scale plus their own office/living space. it would be a blast to help get it going.

Ha! well it would be behind the big dunes a mile to the south and have maybe 20 spaces. Most of the focus is a retreat center for group camping. When that wasn't happening they were thinking(the backers) of opening it up for fee.

good thought though kenny....i could be shooting myself in the foot!

rv's

well you all know what a PITA us rv'ers can be - always wanting things like electricity, water and sewer hookups if we going to stay any length of time.
downside is - make it too nice, and nobody will leave......
so we're back to where the occasional visitor still will have no place to stay.

I've just been reading this thread and you all sure made me feel like I missed the best of times. I have recently started going regularly to RP because I have a good deal worked out at one of the condos. (I don't have an RV......yet)

I love RP and the people but I definately feel what you are talking about in the condos. Haven't met any "good friends" there. People stick to themselves unless they know one another from home.

I wish I could find what you all had years ago, a place to hang out with nice people. A few things to keep you entertained if you want it, good prices so you feel happy that your getting a great deal etc...

I went shopping and saw some glasses in a store that I bought at Pier One for half the price. What's up with that? I see from reading your posts that RP has been through a phase of greed.

Gosh, I hope it finds itself soon. I really love it but I'm beginning to get bored. Nothing is going on....

Thanks for all the insights! Going to try it again tomorrow.....
Penasco Pirate
Martin at the Parrot...he has many stories of the past and the old timers that I meet have the same. It is a shame to know what has become of Penacso. I for one will not stop going down...I have too many friends there to stop. The condos are there and we can't do anything about it, altough I miss seeing the beach like it was 10 years ago(10 YEARS? many know it longer than me!). I do wish they would crumble along with what they have turned our paradise into...seems those people are the same ones crying wolf anyway.

Ha! Kenny, you made me chuckle. Reminded me of an acquaintance who was always saying "Kay Sarah Sarah", unaware that he was not exactly saying it right. We never corrected him because we so enjoyed hearing it that we picked it up ourselves. A shrug of the shoulders, a big smile and a "Kay Sarah Sarah" became like a private joke. (For the uninitiated, he was trying to say "Que sera, sera", accent on the last syllable-- What will be, will be)

Not that you said it wrong, it was just the spelling and for all I know you did it on purpose (spelling it as though it were Spanish rather than French). I'm not laughing at you, just smiling at the memory of Kay Sarah Sarah.

Oh gawd, now I sound like the spelling police. Never mind.

You mentioned no friennds. Well that is a function of where you are staying. Most people these days do not know their neighbors at home and they tend to not know their neighbors there either. Now for the RV folks. I get set up and go for a walk. I talk to any that will listen and that is most folks. My wife jokes that I talk to every one. But it is not just me. As we sit at the RV others walking by will also say Hi and many conversations ensue The RV experience is far different from Home owners life. I will never change to ownership as we like the ability to move around, we like the friendliness and the way of life.
Raise my rent above what I consider fair and I will move to another RV place. Try that in your Condo!
bahiatrader
My wife and I have been full time RVers for a number of years. I even kept another trailer at Rocky Point for a number of years. When I'd ask her if she wanted to move back into a house like other people, she'd say, "Are you crazy?" If you get tired of the scenery or your neighbors you just hook up and move. We have all the comforts of a home in our 5th Wheel. I did miss my garden though. This year i'm making a hanging gardon with melons, strawberries, peppers and such. Our 70 lb. dog is even growing up in the 5th wheel. He's adapted well. Maintenance costs are much less also. We get along with and visit with our neighbors often Our dog, Sam is the darling of the neighborhood. RVing is OK.
beachgirl
Bill, I could not have said it better. We have found that RV people are the most fun and interesting of any. I am somewhat of a social butterfly and love to meet new people. I am sometimes a bit apprehensive though to just walk up and introduce myself to complete strangers due to the fact of one particular time at PDO. That particular couple acted as though they did not want to make new friends. So now, I kind of watch people for a bit first and then decide if I should approach them. I have to remember that not all people are like us Bill. (I know it was no one on this forum).

It is funny, that in almost 19 years coming to RP, I went once to Sandy Beach about 13 years ago and never went back, Mirador was and still is my favorite RP area and in a sense I am glad that no condo buildings are coming, as of now, and hopefully they will never materialize.
However as a business owner that caters to tourist I must say that the condos/resorts are very helpfull in keeping my shuttle service a float and with that I do , and always think that progress is inevitable, think that it is great they are in the other side of town from Mirador, leaving my slice of heaven nicer, although I do think that all the open spaces were former RV Parks were need to be reopen as RV Parks or no more than 1 story buildings to keep at least one area for the non condo lovers, I guess that will be my dream.
It is so much easier to make friends in a trailer park than it is in the condos set up IMHO!! :eek3:

I think the condos suck. I liked Rocky Point far better before all the gringo money started coming in. The crime rate has risen exponentially.

BEACHGIRL

You mention the people not wanting to make new friends. That should not slow you down, it is their problem that they did not get to know you. They could have just had an argument with each other and were being grumpy. When I go to some of those I just walk off and think " Your Loss "
Don't lose a chance to meet great people
beachgirl
Bill, I do think like that...............argument or not, grumpy or not, your loss. But with this particular couple, it wasn't just an argument/grumpiness. We, for some reason, must have offended them in some way. We got the impression that they thought we were too pretentious, only because of the way we choose to "set up camp" (my words, not theirs but it was what was implied). Long story, they just weren't friendly. But you know what, I don't let people like that deter me.............to hell with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring on the happy campers:-D:thumbsup:

Wanted to give you an update.......................trailer trash are truly wonderful people!! Case in point--a woman in the space next to us volunteered to walk our dog so we could go on the boat trip. We didn't know her from Adam and she didn't know us from Eve, but we instantly hit it off. Their whole group was so nice and so much fun to be around. (If anyone saw the little "homemade" fireworks show and heard a bunch of people yelling "STEEL WOOL" anytime over the long weekend on the beach in front of PDO, that was them..............it really was cool what they did with a little piece of steel wool!!) Leroy and them got along just fine.......they even took him down to the beach to sit with them for awhile. SUPER PEOPLE!!!!! Everyone we met this trip was friendly and neighborly..........it just doesn't get any better than that....................and Denise, hope you found (or find) this site. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart:D:cheers:

Rosy, Nice article you just posted on him, while years ago your family was also sold the dream, do you see the irony? Thank you Dog for reminding all of us who this guy is, I see Rosy, Inka, Kenny all posting with opinions: Here you go. let have a refresher:

I don't need a refresher. Nor do I consider writing about the man's positive contributions ironic. I've explained this before, but here goes your "refresher":
I don't happen to believe that rumors about business practices should negate charity/social/civic contributions. Nor do they, for me personally, cancel out admirable traits or delightful and entertaining personalities.

Rodger and his wife are people I know personally and I can attest to their kindness and generosity. And they are fun. Knowing them has been a blessing. La Perla is Patrick's project...but let me say that I have no reason to bad-mouth Patrick either.

This is no different than when I made it a point to post here that Steve Schwab is deserving of respect for his contributions to charity as well as his impressive service to the U.S. military. By the way, I have no firsthand knowledge of Steve's business practices, but know and respect many who work with him. (also, he isn't fat and hasn't been for years, yet that's the first damn thing everyone throws at him). I find Steve less fun than Rodger, but that may be because he doesn't care much for me...totally his problem, I'm afraid.

For years I heard about how Rodger could not go back to the States for legal reasons. Well, as long as I've known him, he's travelled back and forth between both countries, seemingly without restriction. Last Thursday he had brain surgery and I, along with many others, prayed for his health and for a positive outcome. Thankfully, he is doing well and is on the mend and I hope to see him and Jeanette as soon as possible.

Anyway, let me say that my family members also hold no personal grudges and see what happened with La Perla as an unfortunate result of circumstances rather than a theft.

Theft is what happened to me...I did not invest for profit or or negotiate an exchange for assets. Nor did I buy anything. I loaned money to an employer/friend who turned right around and said "screw you, I'm not paying it back". I lost my entire life savings to a bad person who has done that to many others along the way and continues to do what he's always done. One of the hardest parts of this experience has been my coming to terms with my own gullibility. Also, I've had to look for the real lesson...and yes, benefit...behind all this. To say that's been tough would be one hell of an understatement. Nevertheless, that onus is on me.

While we're on the subject of guys with money who give to charity, let me say that I wouldn't jump in to defend Larry Large. This is different for me than the two mentioned above. I would not, in good conscience, support or attend a Larry Large event. I wish both Steve and Rodger nothing but the best and hope Larry gets...as we all should...what he deserves.

Rosy, that is very admirable of you.

I had never heard of Roger or Jeanette until someone brought up their name in an exchange here on RockyPTalk. I wish him and his wife well.
Looks like he has left his "seed", and maybe the name is one to be carefull of. I hear the name in other circles, but with "Realty".

I had never heard of Steve Schwabb for that matter until RPT thread. I have now made my opinion of him as he appeared here (RPT) and ask us for any questions and he would answer. I asked, what I thought important Q.s for Condo Buyer and it has been weeeks with out a response. I do not know him but he is one that already has sunk down into "what is good for him" kinda guy. No use for him or his kind. (Buyer beware of his services.) Yes he is not fat in the outside but he does look imense in the inside. (I do not judge a book by its cover)

Larry large, again another name that I had never heard of, I guess I do not really follow the "Farandula" and really do not care. I googled him an he does have a nice boat with lotsa girls on it. Very nice videos, and they thank "Larry Large" for the use of his big boat. Who really cares, he will get what he deserves at the end.

Rosy, keep up the strait line, because at the end of it that is all we have.
You are true to yourself and I do respect that.

....and I do respect you.

Thank you very much for your words. I eat this stuff up, you know...Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hi I started reading this thread and I want to throw out the question: Is there a place in PP for the lower middle class American? We just spent a week there and loved it. We stayed at a really nice place La Posada La Roca. It was rock bottom in price and we were totally comfortable. I am noticing from this thread that people who are on fixed income and maybe with not much resources are being aced out. Is that true?

I should have mentioned that we are going to try to find a house to rent annually in Puerto Penasco. If anyone knows of a good solid, house in a safe enough neighborhood to rent, let me know. We hope to move there from New Mexico with our sailboat, 81 year old mother in law, angelic dog Sammy, and my husband and I. I speak fluent Spanish and have lived and worked extensively on the border. We raised daughters that we adopted in Mexico that are Mexican and American citizens. I presently work with artisans on the border, helping them to make a living or a better living. Rosie, if you read this, I wrote to you previously and still hope to meet you. We just were down there for 7 days and really did love it. We went to many of the beaches, but so far Tuscon Beach in La Choya won out, because I couldn't believe that I could just swim and swim. My mother in law who is 81 on the last day floated joyfully.

No, it is a perennial argument between the pigeon coopers and trailer trasher, but we love each other and accept what we are, one way or the other, in my earlier years we used Posada la Roca all the time, Jorge and Eloisa always welcome us with wide arms open, and then we graduated to the condos in Mirador area and then did our masters in trailer trashing at Playa de Oro also in Mirador area as many of us here have done. You will find out that many of the people renting condos are also in a fix income and vacation once a year, many of us, big pockets but mainly empty ones, have our old trailers and visit as often as we can since it is cheaper therefore have more money to enjoy in town eating, buying curios or just enjoying the beach, which is mainly the major attraction anyway.
The beauty of PP is that it has everything and anything for anybody and everybody, including mexican food!!

Goodness, I wish I had seen this thread earlier. Rodger and Jeanette. I met them about 5 years ago. Two of kindest people I know. I know there is bad press, but it has not been my experience with them, and that's what I go on. They do so much good for the Rocky Point community, it's almost ridiculous. Like Rosie, I wonder if they "had" to leave the States, why do they commute on a regular basis from there to Rocky Point with no problem? What I know about them is their contributions to the community, and they are many. Linda and I have a real understanding of what it is like to have the rumor mill running rampant, and it taint pretty. Look at the Clifton family's contributions to the community. Not something they "had" to do but something they wanted to do.
Jealousy, maybe?

I don't care to go there. I consider myself fortunate to know the good side of these people, and that is enough for me. The rest will be judged on some other level and by someone else. Please know that my attitude would be likewise about any friend. Call it a fatal flaw.

Rosy, R. Martinez is a friend of mine but I would'nt defend him because I have seen him in action

You might know him personally, but he has no friends. I only wish I'd known more about him before I went to work for him and certainly before I loaned him my hard-earned money. Sometimes I worry that the whole mess says more about my flaws than about his. I guess he'll get his comeupance...goodness knows I have gotten mine.

Rosy, my point was every swindler has friends. ( a friend in need is a friend indeed) Swindlers have high iq's you would'nt give your money to a dumb ass. They are very nice. You would'nt give your money to an a-hole. Usually they are generous because since its opm why not. I know what you are going through as I have similar problems in Penasco. Its one thing to lose your money Its another to lose your health fretting over a bad situation. I have'nt qiut fighting but I have qiut worrying about it. Ramon also did alot of good things for Penasco. Never buy a skinny horse because the minute you fatten him up he's gonna buck you off.

I reiterate that Martinez has no friends...except maybe Chuy Soto. I can attest to that because the information that has kept my lawsuit alive would not be possible if not for his so-called friends who help me under the table. The fishermen can't stand him and neither can his political cronies. He's an albatross around their necks and they keep him close just to keep an eye on him. All of them will be glad when he's completely neutralized.

Contrary to what you say, he hasn't done great things for Puerto Penasco. The development that occurred during his tenure wasn't thanks to him, yet he exploited it to line his own pockets and steal what he could. The lack of vision and urban planning is directly attributed to him. Even the poor people he is said to have helped...his habit was to give them maybe $200 pesos if they had a dire emergency. A pittance.

As smart as you say he is, he made a huge mistake with me. He thought I would be intimidated or that I would buckle under the futility of a long court battle. There's no way I'll ever give up, and I certainly don't fear him because I know he's a coward. His political career is stuck unless and until he gets this particular problem taken care of. I know he's placed people in key positions, but his ego will never accept that that's the best he can do. On the other hand, my q-rating went up hugely because I became known as the one person who has managed to stare him down successfully...I never blinked. At one political discussion with the Governor's reps and all our former mayors, he stood up and took the mike. A while later, when the mike was handed to me, he almost tripped and fell flat on his face in his hurry to leave the room (because he doesn't trust me not to embarrass him in public, as I've done before). The whole room started laughing and one ex-mayor said "You helped us get the rat out of the room, Mija!". They then applauded me before I'd even spoken.

I may or may not get my money back...but I can tell you that I do intend to get my money's worth.

Rosie, As I told you in a private email, I know of someone who was personally swindled out of money. When he went to an attorney in the 80's, the lawyer said get in line- there are hundreds of people trying to get money back from Clifton, but he is now enjoying your money in Penasco. I find it offensive you think he's a great guy using dirty money. Even a drug trafficer can do some good with his illicit money, but I don't expect someone to stand up for him.

I don't know if he's a great guy or not. I only know that I like him and wish him well. I clearly said that his value as a person will have to be judged by someone other than me. I recuse myself as judge, as I obviously don't have the qualifications. Remember that I'm the retard that loaned money to Ramon Martinez, a huge lapse of judgement that should disqualify me forever from judging human character.

Why do I like Rodger so much? Hell, few people light up a room the way he does. He's also generous, hard-working and funny. Seems to love his wife and family. I might lose points with some for liking him and yet will probably gain points with others for knowing how to be loyal to my friends. Guess I'll have to hope my points balance out.

Sounds absolutely great to me. We are looking for a low cost rental to be down there a lot. If you know of anything let me know. [email protected].

Mariachi Master,

What kind of dog is Sam? We have a German Shorthair named Sammy. She is sort of small for a Shorthair. We rescued her from the pound after she was abandoned five times. She is a sweet, but very insecure dog.

Those were the days.......... I wouldn't trade that little spot at Elegante for the penthouse condo at the nicest resort on Sandy Beach. If only we could get it back.
