I know the estuaries have been super muddy lately with all of the rain. Has that gone away? You could see the mud and silt half a mile out when the tide goes out. A ton of micro bait out there.
I just got back from an offshore trip on Monday. Due to a breeze coming from the South, I decided to hit to the reefs to the West. Fishing was slow with a combination of fishing with live bait and jigging. All of a sudden around 4:30 PM the bite took off and we loaded up on 1 12lb flounder and 5 nice Pinto Bass. Hated to reel in but the sun was setting and I was a good hour away from port which led to a dark and wet ride home.
