There are sometimes some offered for sale at the storage lots. You really need to come down and drive around as there is no place they are advertised. You will have a better selection in Arizona.
how much does it cost to leave a trailer hooked up for a year down there...full hookups
Don't know. We store ours in their storage lot across the street. Call or email when we are planning on going down and they pull it over and set it up.

No, but they might have some too. PDO is on Mariano Matamoros. Continue South on Campeche until you get to the stop sign and turn left, go about a tenth of mile and PDO will be on your right. Don't know if they have a US phone, the wife takes care of that. They have a website!
Going to Rky Pt. next week looking to buy RV. How does purchase work - don't want to carry cash. What about getting mechanical check before buying. All new to me. A y help welcome.
Odds are the seller will live in the states, Arizona most likely, so you can meet there for final payment. I would bring along a cashier's check, enough to make a meaningful deposit. Be sure the person you are dealing with actually owns the RV. If you see something you like have the current owner set it up and run all the systems . AC, fridge, heat, electrical appliances and lights.
Again, I say better to buy in Arizona and have someone haul it down. If an RV has been here for years it might be in really bad condition. the odds are not good finding a nice one here. If its a good one they will take it to Az to sell. If it's been sitting around here for years they will dump it. here. Locals are concerned more about cost than condition.
That might happen but if it is a nice one it will not be easy to sell here. Geoff at Boarder Movers will bring it down from AZ if you buy one there. Probabaly other also. Bringing it across is not a big deal. Just do not say you are leaving it in Mexico !!
Got pulled over with border in sight. Got all our money. Never ends.
Sorry to hear that! On a lighter note, did you find a trailer, since I believe this was what this thread was about? Like Terry said, we all would like to hear the story. So we all can avoid the same misfortune. Headed down tomorrow any info would be appreciated.
Heard from MGM at the Reef that there is very little storage left in Rocky Pt. The noise was constant at Playa Bonita and the Reef would've been the same We decided that idea is over. The Mx police stopped hs on MX side outside Sonoyta.
6 times in 20 years of baja and mainland travel. I get it. The guys see a mark and tell him he is speeding. You know you are being scammed. At this point I don't even think much about it except the US version in New Mexico last year when I'm pulled over for going 70 in a 55 in the middle of bloody NOWHERE and it is clear that the bust is to boost the coffers of a rural county that has few options for revenue.Happens nearly every trip thru Modoc County CA. SOOOO...I guess I would rather be shaken down in a completely " honest" shakedown in MX than a bullshit speed trap in the US. The New Mexico shakedown raised my insurance rates. The Sonoyta shakedown did not. I don't really mind buying those dudes lunch. What a game.
Personally, given the way things are for most Mexicans. I favor the curb payment. Friend, hard worker was driving an old veicle with old plates. Got stopped and could have had his vehicle impounded with fine and storage payments that there was no way he could make. He would lose his car. Cop said a number, friend turned out his pockets and said look all I have is 5 pesos. Cop took it and let him go so he got to keep his car !! Great investment for 5 pesos. He could not get to work otherwise.
