There's a hurricane which will probably be a tropical storm by the time it gets to Penasco on Sunday or Monday https://www.google.com/amp/s/weather.com/amp/storms/hurricane/news/2019-09-18-tropical-storm-hurricane-lorena-mexico-flash-flooding-forecast.html

Does that mean the Playa Encanto road will be washed out again?

You're confusing Lorena for NOAA's initial model for Dorian.

According to recent standards the hurricanes can be diverted with a Sharpie,

While Sharpies can be used to juxtapose the initial NOAA model with the revised model, they can't divert hurricanes.

NASA will fire a rocket at it and at the space rock coming too!

"Does that mean the Playa Encanto road will be washed out again?" The Mayan/Vidanta are working on the road to Playa Miramar and Dorada, putting in pipes to allow the Sonoyta River to flow to the estuary. As of last weekend, the road wasn't open, and was diverted to a lower road- I hope that's not washed out.

They're not predicting that much rain, less than 1/10" here, now it's looking like a Sunday/Monday arrival.
But it's weather and anything can change.

If the Donald finds out you said that you will be in big trouble...

Latest update for Penasco is less than 1/3 inch of rain.

Arrived at Playa Dorada on the 17th via "backroads;" left on the 21st via newly-opened (enhanced, completed) Dorada / Miramar road.

Rain and a rainbow this morning !!
MIRAMAR
Thanks Southbeacher- heading down tomorrow. Let me know how the roads are.

Road into Las Conchas is dry..
MIRAMAR
Anyone know how the Caborca highway is? It's been raining a lot in Ajo/Phoenix/Tucson so wondering if the highway is flooded like last year.

No -- you tell me. I'm not headed back down 'til Thursday. :) (Although based on the extensive work they've recently done on the Caborca road -- widening and deepening the washes to accommodate heavy runoff -- I'm confident it'll be a smooth ride.)
