As of 10 am this morning (Friday April 3rd 2020) we are 100% shut to anyone who does not have residency here. It does not matter if you cross the border into Mexico. The city of Peñasco is not allowing any non residents into town. PERIOD!. If you have residency papers for Mexico but still drive a foreign plated vehicle I would expect problems trying to come into town as well. FYI these guys here are not messing around!

With the nowhere reported by the lamestream media major El Nino event this year the desert now has a MAXIMUM annual vegetation cover not seen in more than twenty years. Out at Mohawk Dry Lake now filled to capacity, the dunes to the west of the lake are a major feeding ground for the Pronghorns along with more Sonoran Badgers that one could ever imagine. The Pronghorns have trails that lead to the thickest concentrations of Desert Lilies where they crop them down from the four foot tall blooming spires to just a few inches above the ground.
This Sunday we will do an F-150 Raptor run into the lava flows north from Spot Road on I-8 to the Gila River valley. The tortoises and Chuckwallas should be out sunning in the balmy eighty degree clear clean temps. Anyone notice the total lack of commercial jet contrails in the sky these past few weeks? We can actually see the constellations in the night sky tonight whilst soaking in the hot tub waiting for a ribeye sizzling on the bar-bee of home grown Mesquite and freshly collected Iron Wood from the bombing range last Sunday.

1) If Trump chose NOT to promote the use of the drug, even with knowledge of the overwhelming benefits and low risk side affects in suggested dosages, would the left/MSM give him a pass for not being ‘scientific’ and ignoring Experts from around the world touting the drug OR would he get hammered and destroyed for NOT mentioning the drug as a viable treatment/therapy ?
2) If OBAMA promoted Hydroxycoroquine as a potential therapy and life saver for the Wuhan Flu, would Obama be put up as a genius and a savior by the left & MSM ?
Or, would he get destroyed and hammered as a pea brain, or an un-intellectual like Trump ?

We ALL want what you want. Second, touting something as a miracle cure without PROOF or scientific evidence is what a used car salesman would do. If Obama was president I would ASSUME that he would have been advised of HC as an option. He was a practical man. WE are practical humans. Larry this shows how much you don't know about how medication gets approved. It is FDA APPROVED as an ON LABEL diagnoses. A drug gets cleared for it's ON LABEL diagnoses codes not for the "other" things it could "possibly" treat as well. I worked at McKesson for two years on a Novartis drug called COSENTYX. As a doctor, you CAN prescribe something OFF LABEL but try getting your insurance to approve something OFF LABEL. Again, Dr Fauci can't ethically make the claims the president can. Fauci would not be a scientist if he haphazardly recommended this drug like Trump is doing.
Chantix was ON LABEL approved for the diagnoses of depression. After patients began taking Chantix for depression a certain percentage of the population also noticed that it was taking away their appetite for smoking. That doesn't mean the drug was FDA approved for both diagnoses codes. It had to go back through FDA approval to treat smokers wanting to quit smoking.
Nobody is arguing that this drug MAY work. We're arguing that it is irresponsible to tout it as a miracle cure without knowing all of the facts.

The city of Peñasco is not allowing any non residents into town. PERIOD!. If you have residency papers for Mexico but still drive a foreign plated vehicle I would expect problems trying to come into town as well. FYI these guys here are not messing around!

IMPORTANT! - The city has just announced that the highways from and to Peñasco/Caborca and El Golfo/Peñasco will be closed starting at 6am tomorrow Friday the 1...0th. The only open Highway will be Peñasco/Sonoyta but, anyone coming from the U.S. that is a resident of Peñasco and is returning to Peñasco will be placed in quarantine for 12 days in a local hotel in town. A few hours ago there was a police checkpoint on Fremont before the Las Conchas turn off. They asked if we lived here & what section. We answered “yes” & told the the section. We showed them our last CFE bill and they let us through. Not sure what they would have said if we didn’t live here.
The stop on Fremont near the Las Conchas entrance has been staffed only occasionally. I do not know the schedule. Yesterday they were there in the afternoon. They did not get out of the truck and waved me past. They left at 6. Friday there was a larger group and 3 vehicles. They did stop me and ask where I lived, I told them and they waved me through.
I wonder what, if anything, they do about the truckloads of construction workers that come into the community every day.

You would need to know how they apply and enforce the entry quarantine that is reported to apply to residents coming into town. I saw one description that you had to stay in a motel for the quarantine.

Those with Permanent Resident cards are supposed to have Sonoran plates, although it’s been suggested that the plates would only be required beyond the Penasco area.. That potential issue has been the reason we have kept our Permanentes under wraps until we were certain. You’re the first clue. . .
