Only months you will catch Cortez Halibut are between October (late October) through May.

I'll give you the official data tomorrow. Went snorkeling today and it felt pretty chilly but I'm kind of a pussy. I'd say mid to low 70's.

So water temp on Monday November 1 was 74-75°. I saw 74° over by the marina and 75° was out about 12 miles out towards the 16-180 and also saw 75° in Cholla Bay at Tucson Beach.

Saw plenty of life snorkeling. Bunch of different grunts, sergeant majors, I think anchovy. From a few years of experience I'd say the flounder are officially in the water now. It's turning this week. I bet water temp falls off another 3 degrees this week or in the next 10 days. Earliest I've caught a flounder is November 10. But I know people that catch them in late October depending on where you are in RP.
