I know this time of year crossing south on a Friday can be busy. Planning on a mid august trip and wondering if it’s less busy cuz it’s so hot and humid then. Any one done an august crossing?

You would be surprised at how popular Peñasco is in August. Leave so you hit the border by 10am and line should be OK either direction.

If you haven't been down to PR in August before, be prepared, it's brutal if you're not used to humidity.

I lived an hour from Houston for 14 years. I know age is a factor but Puerto Peñasco in August is debilitating.

Typical August afternoon on the boat trolling for Dorado off shore from PP......
Air temp............90 degrees
Water temp.....90 degrees
Humidity...........90 percent
Dead calm other than the moving boat.
Can't drink enough water to offset the sweating.
Best fun anywhere!

As everyone has said, the weather is pretty brutal from mid-July thru Sept. The 90 degree water temp isn't refreshing at all,
But some people like it, Not me. .

Blood sucking amphipods and isopods just thrive on those conditions! Not to mention the Man-O-War Jellies.
