Out here in the Yuma desert we have 20,000 year old pack rat poop piles with Pinion Pine cones, Joshua Tree seed pods, Juniper berries and Giant Ground Sloth hair embedded in them.

Also, the dunes around the coast of Sonora are composed entirely of ground up marine life shells.
