Not only for his cool new boat, but also for the fact that Doug's world record submission was officially awarded by the IGFA, and he now holds the All-tackle world record for Barred Pargo:

I got to see the Certificate (and the mounted fish) today and both are very impressive.

Very, very cool. Congrats Doug!

Congrats! I wonder how many world records I've eaten??

That is great! I can't wait to see the mount as well. It must look very impressive. Maybe Scott or Doug could post a picture of the mount as well as list who did it for him. Way to go Doug!

Way to go, Doug! The last time I checked IGFA all-tackle world records there were several that could easily be beaten (or eaten) out of RP, see list below. Also, I'm still waiting to hear more about your new boat, i.e. make, model, year, pictures. I'm bored silly here in Abu Dhabi and look forward to fishing again in March. Best of luck.

What a beautiful Fish Doug. I remember reading how you had no idea that that bad boy was on your line , but maybe a grouper.

Ric and I got into some Golden Spots one day, and a couple of them were close to 6 lbs, but we never gave it a thought about any records... Ric, I'll bet you will next time though.
