At Happy's suggestion, I've created this forum specifically for discussion of where to find a good doctor, dentist, and other health issues, etc. in either AZ or Penasco. :smile:
Over New Years I came down with Strep throat and a bad sinus infection was told of Dr. Vasquez not knowing anything or any other options I went by (he is across the street from Portifino at the Malecon) went in the office sat down he came in 15 minutes later did a consult asked a few questions, asked if I wanted to feel better now or in 6 days. He gave me a shot of antibiotic and steroids and seriously 30 minutes later the sore throat was gone. He gave me a prescription and the whole thing was around $30.00

He emailed me last night requesting I go over there and look at his handy work, but he didn't say what he was up to this time. That's not the dog that looks like a Alien, is it?:-P
You can see a picture of the dog - a pug - on Huerita's Rocky Point Tides...there is now going to be an "event" and I suggest we start selling tickets - maybe to benefit Seadweller's schools - Happy must now kiss Huerita's dog's butt on a Sunday! Somebody please get video!!!!:har::har::har:
I haven't been there for a long time Joe, it always make's me hungry. I just went and looked though, and thought I'd share this gem I found while there. And speaking of muts; I bet if Happy would get one of his Mug shots from the last time he was 'picked-up' and booked we'd get a real good look at what a mut looks like ;~)!

Have had similar experiences with Dr. Vasquez. Did he show you the museum across the street??

In as much as sickness or disease do not discriminate, YOUNG or OLDER, I thought this mite be a helpfull tool to have here, ~ ~ ~ specially when it comes to doctors, treatment, & meds. ~ ~ ~ in both Az. & Mex. ~ ~ ~ never know when a person may go down, & needs a GOOD doc. ~ ~ ~ and for when surgery is needed, minor or major,
BTW,~ ~ ~ There will be NO "EVENT" I will NOT be kissing Huerita's little dog's ass on Sunday period !!!

I have discovered that over the counter medication is generally much more expensive here in Penasco than is the US. There is also considerable variability in price store to store. I routinely take Loratadina (Claritin) and recently paid over a dollar a tab before I could get someone to bring me some. A buddy take Cialis and he says it's $16.00 US per tab?? Anyone know how much it is in the states?

Need to find someone that cares about their work. Spent more money than I cared to for having to go to someone else. I did pay her 1/2 of the cost since she did do some work (not very well)!

For your drugs try canadadrug.com I find they are very well priced on almost every thing. You do need an Rx to fax to them. Delivery is a little slow as they ship from all over the world.

Everyone I know facing expensive RX's in the US buy from the Canadian pharmacies. At present our family pays 363.00 for 3 months of a new drug, while the best price in US is 2400.00.
This is a list of the accredited pharmacies. Most will price-match each other if you ask. Faxing the RX is not required: sending by email works fine.
