Fishing Rocky Point

I have gone fishing twice in the last 2 weeks and we did manage to catch 2 gulfs in the 45lb range on the first trip, last trip 1 75lb gulf and a 63lb gulf and a 17lb leopard not bad for a place people say is fished out, and it was close by, save alot on fuel that way:wink:

Yeah we caught a lot more fish close by RP on Sunday than we caught covering over 150 miles on Monday, that's for sure.

The hardest decision for me is always leaving the harbor and trying to decide whether to turn right toward Wally's reefs, or turn left toward Caballo and the southern points.

the right seems to be more productive than left, but you never know, maybe in the fall months the left will be better:aagh:

I had good luck on the caballo last outing but plan on heading straight out this weekend.
