Yep, no parallel parking prmitted on the left side of the Malecon. Signs were there yesterday. Angle parking next to the fish markets, where all the shopkeepers will now park !!
They should have "60 Minute Only" parking or something there, between 10-5, just to make it legal to tow off the locals. The regular cops recognize the usual suspects anyway...
As someone already mentioned...all the vendors will now be hogging the parking spaces on the other side of the street.....might as well resign yourselves to walking from the parking lot when you come in to the Malecon!

The common sense factor for these vendors has always amazed me. They are at their stalls ALL DAY, so they park in front, take up all the spaces and then make a tourist who might be there for 15-60 min walk a distance to do business with them??
I guess that's the same logic that is used with the restaurants when business is slow, they just raise the prices. I have never gotten that one either.
I just park in the free parking and enjoy the walk and exercise... besides I'm usually walking my dog Boo so I get to see more of the vendors that I know and chat with them for a while...

It soetimes seems hard to understand why the vendors would do that. I cant believe they ara not smart enough to understand the lack of parking will effect their business

Sorry to hear about your medical issues Bill, by chance has your Dr. given you a handicap scrip for a handicap plate. They're a couple parking's after the restrooms on the malecon. Parking Been very congested during the weekends forever...
