Club Samuel or Sams Club Membership

The Bodega is now offering Membership Cards to Club Samuel or Sams Club... Barb received an invitation to join the other day while at the Bodega...

The Individual Card is $450 pesos...

The Gold Card is $550 pesos and you get two cards or two family members for that price...

Don't have the Business Card prices but will later today...

And these cards can be used at Sams Clubs in the states as well...

From the prices posted, doesn't sound like it's cheaper than the US for membership (based on 12 peso/dollar exchange)

Todays exchange is 13.24

I think the gold membership is $55. in the states... right now "Today" the exchange rate is 13.20... that makes the $550 pesos for the gold membership $41.66 at this exchange rate.. today is a good day to buy... we get the pesos from the ATM at this rate when we use our card from the credit union and we don't pay any fees

How long is the Grand Opening Special suppose to last? Tks for the credit card info. I never have cash - been trying to get to the bank since January - keep finding excuses not to go.

Not sure, but what Barb thinks they were saying was that the GRAND OPENING SPECIAL is supposed to last until they open on June 28, 2012...

Thank you for the info - and also the opening date :) Will be interesting to see what they carry. Our DDIL's brother living in the Cancun area and they have one and she said they have all sorts of stuff that they couldn't get elsewhere.

The cost of our Gold Membership @$500 pesos with todays $13.20 pesos to $1 exchange rate was $37.88...

Stopped by the Bodega today and was told they weren't taking memberships for Sam's Club there - wonder if it is only on the weekend and/or special set ups?

Who did you talk to..? There was a Sams Club booth with about 6 guys and gals in their Sams Club uniforms... we got our receipt with all their Factura Numbers....

Stopped at customer service as didn't see anything as we wandered around the store - not a whole lot of people there. The young woman at customer service indicated they were not taking Sam's Club memberships at the store. Didn't give more information and my Spanish sadly lacking to be able to get more information from her.
