Very cool. I remember being in RP one year for this event and the old road between Penasco and Cholla was actually underwater from the high tide!

You know the lower road out Encanto way is going to be flooded, and out Santo Tomas way in some areas it go's around the dunes and floods the flats big time.

Well, I hope it's not cloudy this year. Jerry and I went out into the desert last year to get away from the lights and were very disappointed.... We'll be in Wickenburg tomorrow night........

18.24 is huge. The beach combing should be great Sunday.

Well, if tonight's is better than last night, it will be spectacular.

I got up at 3:30 to take the wifey to the airport and it was big and bright.
On the way home around 4:45 it was sinking into the horizon and was huge and bright orange.
Hate getting up at that time, but glad I did. (For more than one reason...:-o)

No photos... it's BS... or does that only count for fish..?

In addition to a great looking moon, and very high tides, the Sea of Cortez will see very LOW tides. I have a pangero amigo in the Jaguey area who uses those low tides to harvest the most ginormous and delicious scallops I have ever run across. Right from the shell into garlic butter and yum!
