Yes. The police chief of San Luis was gunned down by the cartels with an AK-47. Over 50 shell casings found. He was hit 18 times in the face and body, died instantly.

Sorry, I don't see that as "Mexico Bashing." It's a pretty significant incident, he was definitely one of the good guys from everything I read. A former prosecutor and his efforts to keep San Luis safe from this kind of violence had been highly lauded.
