Driving on Fremont toward town, down the road and blocking the lane there was a large group of people walking in the roadway towards me. They were shabbily dressed with rags wrapped around their heads and covering most of their faces. Each was branishing and gesticulating with a long thin implement that appeared initially to be a weapon of some sort. From a distance they looked like an angry mob. I flashed on 'the revolution has started, there is an uprising and they are carrying pitchforks' ! I was comforted by the fact that there was no gunfire, yet. The group milled about somewhat aimlessly and as I approached now driving slowly ready to make a rapid U turn, I realized that the gesticulating was actually sweeping motions and the mob was actually working cleaning the street. What a great start to a morning.
