I use FaceBook a lot. I connect to thousands with a key stroke. I love it. I know though that some of you wont use FaceBook and thats ok. I get it.

If you like reading though you may like these 2 blogs one is written by Naomi my wife and the other usually by me. One is found here (Naomis Blog) and one is here (Penasco Recreation)

This month on my site we talk about our latest trip to the Valle de Guadalupe to taste wine. It was a great trip. I hope you enjoy them.

Well, personally I don't get it because those thousands of FRIENDS don't know who you are nor do you know them. It's too artificial for me, although I do have a page but I don't 'friend' lots of people, only those I actually know and want to be in touch with. I understand it's a contmporary 'media' being used to promote stuff but I think its overload. It's similar to publising your e-mail address then gettig tons of spam.

Yep...half empty.

Roberto - its kind of like TV. You as the viewer have the right to not watch a program, or to watch the program. Regardless....the program is presented. If I send a message out and 5000 people see it, but only 50 people respond it is still a win. Heck depending on what I post if only 5 look I am still happy. (Not the ~~happy~~ you are thinking of)

So until Facebook becomes to difficult to manage I will use it to keep my messages fresh.

Just FaceBook has helped me grow my small business here to a degree that I would not be able to have done without it.

Las Cañadas Campamento, albercas, zonas para acampar Principal This place is really nice, if your thinking of traveling to Ensenada or the vineyards. They are offering a cabin for up to 6 people for 800.00 pesos per night, they also have some really nice tent sites. http://www.lascanadas.com/en/home.html the english version.

Duck And Pheasant Hunting

Here is another quick trip from RP, between Mexicali and San Felipe. I think most of American homes were wiped out with the last earthquake, but they have built a really nice campground on the east side of the river. Hunt Rio Hardy Mexico From here its a quick trip to San Felipe or Ensenada. They have really cleaned this place up. Freshwater Fishing here also. Here is the new campground http://www.campomosqueda.com/

My comment was strictly personal just for discussion and not intended to reflect on anyone elses experiences. If I were in your shoes of course I would be using all the tools available. I wrote, produced and directed the Old Media, Print, Radio and TV for about 20 years. As a result of suffering promotional fools in the sales business I like my solitude and privacy more than most I guess.

I'd rather be half empty than completely full of you know what.

When I noticed you had posted here, I really got excited, I thought for a minute you wanted to hit the Baja Highway with me. Just grab Ana, I'm not sleeping in the same tent with you.

I still want to take the auto ferry from guaymas .....Facebook is nice but tends to allow, say a booster to refect one view and block people that for example might think the page creator is giving only one side of the story...on the forum we fight it out!

That would be a great trip, Santa Rosalia, to Mulege. we fished for yellowtail out of Muleje once, and had grouper come up and hit the yellowtail as we were reeling them in. Really pretty in Mulege, but now over run with U.S. drunks.

Just make sure you travel with a Mexican girl or somebody like Melissa, any highway robbers or road blocks are'nt any problem, you dont have to even worry about it, they just jump out of the car and start chewing the robbers asses and you're as good as on your way, no problem.

If I ever get retired, I might be interested in going along............I'm the other ass chewer.... LOL!

Bill, I assume you're talking about me "Melissa"? You ain't seen nothin, if you think that was somethin'! But you've also seen that I know how to act very prim and proper like at the Black and White Ball!

You're not too far off from the truth either. I almost got robbed by a guy with a knife in Mexico City at the Hidalgo metro station back in 2002, before I met my husband. I started yelling and screaming at the guy and he backed off! The friend I was travelling with ran off like a little girl - he was a grown man!

You're the only Melissa I know, except Melissa Gilbert on The Little House on The Prairie. I have to admit, you were very nice.

I've always wanted to do a trip like that too. I read a book over the summer about 4 women that drove all the way down Baja, called "Cartwheels in the Sand". There's another one I'm reading now about Baja called "Miraculous Air".

The trip down the Baja is getting easier, they are building a new highway south now, I drove to the end of it a year ago, it ended just past Puertocitos, by now its probably close to or past Bahia Gonzaga. We sold our house this year in San Felipe, so I may never go back. http://www.bajaexpo.com/cities/gonzaga.htm
