Many years ago I had a savings account at Bancomer that paid very well. Can anyone tell me what the banks are paying for deposit accounts now? Are the banks offering a CD type instrument? If so what are the banks paying? I did very well for about 7 years but got caught in one of the peso devaluations and ended up not so happy at the end. Thanks for your comments.
In the very early 90's a $10,000 dllr cd here was paying 300.00 dllrs a month in intrest, because of the rate of inflation here. they hardly pay anything at all now, I havent checked in a couple years, but it was nothing then.
