We're coming down this weekend and I wondering if the "Man of War" are washing up on the shore yet?

They weren't there last weekend, but the water was cooler than years past, so maybe they'll come later this year or not at all.

I have been in the ocean on Sandy beach most of the day. I have not seen one.

I was surprised how cool the water was two weeks ago. It's good to know the man of war are still out in the deep water.

When are they usually around an for how long and what brings them in?
Are they a real issue, or just slightly more prevalent?

I just got back and it was a first for me that in June I did not see a single one in the water or washed up in las Conchas.

The monsoon weather seems to bring them ashore. They can be a big problem if you like to swim. In calm water you can see them but when it's rough they wash up on you. I'd say they are around from June- September.

I have not seen any deadly creatures so far this year. Not on the beach anyway! We jetski every week end and I have come across a lot of sting rays in cholla bay but they pretty much stay clear of you.
