It is the drug given to dogs who have Valley Fever. The prices in Phoenix are very expensive. If you buy this drug in Penasco do you remember what you paid for what size (mg) pill?

What price were you quoted or are you paying? I've had two dogs in PHX who have gone throught that and I think a 90 day supply of the pills was less than $100. It's been a couple of years but I will look to see if I still have that information if it turns out this is less expensive than what you might be currently paying.

Our dog had VF. Got the meds at Fry's. Really cheap there but expensive elsewhere.

Here in Penasco about .21 cents per tab.

Our old dog wasn't acting right, and I thought he might have Valley Fever. We called the vet, and they said we can run all these tests for about $600, then if they think they have VF, they put them on meds, and after a week, they'll run more tests for again $600. I said can't we just put him on the meds for couple of weeks, and if he's getting better, he has VF- they said they don't practice that kind of medicine. So I just bought Ketoconizole in Mexico for about $12, a week later, we had our dog back and still had our $1200. He needed the medicine for quite a while.

Yes, Dee has taken care of a couple of dogs with this and it took a long time to clear up.

Thanks but stating the price without the size of the pill does not allow for comparison. The price varies widely in Phoenix but seems to have had a recent big price increase.
