Considering a look around the area, but having some access to surf would be important. What is the fastest and easiest way to get to the pacific coast ?

American Airlines.

6 hours to Rosarito which is a hipster surfing area on the Pacific side

Ugh...a bit of a hike. Is this along the mexican north coast? Is that road safe to travel?

I used to hang in surfer town http://www.sayulita.com/.

Me too, but it is way overcrowded, now I am at CHACALA beach, great surf nearby and no crowds, just 45 minutes north of Sayulita. However, looking for a possible move just for a change.

We go to Rosarito at least 4 times a year and yes the road is perfectly safe as safe roads go
Lindy
That is good to know. I think it was a zillion years ago that you werent supposed to travel that route. How is the rumour coming along about a bridge to connect to the west coast?

If you are considering moving to Rocky Point thinking you can surf there you will be disappointed. The beaches are great but there is no surfing.

If you're thinking about moving to Rocky Point, you might as well move to Phoenix because either way you're driving six hours to get some tasty waves bruh

Standing up on a surfboard is technically surfing but if this BRO is inquiring about tasty waves then more than likely he's a legit surfer, dude.

Not in Penasco, but MLgu8g4 (Medium).jpg on a good day at k38 south of Rosarito.

Back in the 60's and early 70's this commie pinko ratfink was a surf rat gear head in S Cali and though we didn't have Bruce Browns "Endless Summer", we always looked forward to trip down to Rosarito Beach.
