Sam's won't take $100 bills?

Has anyone else encountered this? I was at Sam's this week and they said they do not take $100 bills anymore (my bill was about $90USD) and they won't take more than $250USD per purchase. Any thoughts?

Actually had a hassle at casa grande walmart using a $100 bill.....guessing it is due to fake bills. Maybe at sams it is a precaution too

Fake bills? They do resemble Monopoly Money. That's why the US spent so much (nearly 600m) to redesign the the bill so it's virtually impossible to counterfeit.
But given enough time, I'm sure some @$$ hole will figure it out.

People take $ 100.00 bills down and and buy $ 20.00 of stuff and want change in pesos. Someone on here posted that sometime ago. So, maybe they stopped all $ 100 bills.

Circle K will take 1 hundred bill a day, Oxxo's don't take them.

I take $100 bills anytime. Old or new. I'll even come and pick them up !!
