Arab words that are now spanish words

Really interesting......Sonora of course has a huge Arab population,krypto-Jews on the run from the inquisition,tons of Greeks because everyone likes Greeks and a fair amount of Germans and Irish because you just have to blow stuff up and kill people sometimes...

The Crypto Jew story is fascinating. They settled in Los Altos de Jalisco also. Lots of people here in Guadalajara that definitely have Jewish-looking ancestry.

With the arabs conquering and governing Spain for over 700 years way back when, the Spanish language got thousands of words that come or are a derivative of arab words, most if not all words that start with "al" are of arab origin like tequila I mean alcohol!
