Those -- along with a few captions / stories / approximate dates-- would comprise a great coffee-table book.

Why is it that Latina women are so beautiful!

Great pix. Noted 1953 aerial view of marina. When and how was this accomplished, to the present day. Navy yard non existing back then.

Maybe it's just me but I think all women are beautiful, particularly, but not limited to mothers.

I've always believed every mother gets an automatic entry card into Heaven.

I just wonder what would have happened if people said dredging the harbor shouldn't have been allowed. We would all be launching our boats with that crazy contraption they're riding in the picture

The United States Government secured Puerto Peñasco's harbor as a Joint Contingency Plan for part of it's Pacific naval fleet. The agreement included the U.S. Military building a military dock area in the harbor and a 65 mile paved highway from Lukeville, Arizona to Puerto Peñasco. (Note: The U.S. Military still has an agreement to use the highway when necessary). Several military actions later occurred with Japanese mini-subs and fighter aircraft in the area.
That build was not done by crooks and knuckleheads....

Yep I know that Jerry. Just wondering, if the Army Corps of Engineers or similar group were to build this, would everyone be for the new port? Is the only concern who's building it and not the envirement?
jerry
No it is the nature of the project. The dredging by the Corps is a big issue in the states too.Anyone with any sense would have just dredged Guaymas and called it good.

Just one Question for you Sr. Guru, Why is ok for Guaymas to have the Homeport and it will destroy Penasco? Your followers are welcome to answer too!
jerry
Guaymas already exists and the border crossing will happen at Nogales ..pretty simple

I went once to Guaymas and enjoyed it thoroughly....but it was too far. RP is the perfect distance from AZ and CA

The infamous thread. Sometimes I like to go back and read it, just to remind myself how glad I am that I was wrong that time.
