Actually go up to the salt arm of Roosevelt . They are huge.Leigh

I'd say Bartlett and then the salt arm. The State record for a Flathead is out of Bartlett and is 77 lbs but a 50 is not that uncommon at both places.. Don't know what kind of cat that Frenchman caught, but you have to love his style.

Indeed! Here's my buddy Dennis with two Barlett flatheads. 2nd one was likely a new state record; he released it. Keep in mind Dennis is my size -- a big guy, he could barely get it up off the deck. They actually catch these on the troll.

The French guy is a stitch! Nice fish on spinning gear and the gentleman's release! :)

we caught 200-300 flatheads that year, on 10 lb. test and a crank bait. big one pulled 14ft boat for 45minutes at 2-3 miles per hour at times
