nice catch but your white sea bass in the bottom photo is a Totoaba and protected. Don't take pioctures of these! I don't know what your top fish is because I can't make it out but if it's like the bottom one, be careful!
Am real glad you brought that up. Both pics were of the same fish. As soon as I caught that fish the first thing that I thought is that it may be a totoaba and immediately throw it back, but it was hard to tell if it was WSB or a totoaba. I admit I was pretty nervous pulling into harbor with that fish onboard (pretty stupid of me), but the guys at Safe Harbor assured me it was a WSB. Not saying you're wrong DM, its a good question, but for safety sake I took the thread and pics down. Thanks.
The guys at Safe Marina knew what it was,they just didn't want to scare you. We've all caught them from time to time and they are usually dead when you get them in.
