And in the end, and as I have stated before, I just want to fish from it. :)

Here in RP, taco's de cabeza are a morning taco. There are a few cart's that sell them, but they sell out early.. The hog maw taco's are also a morning taco and usually by 10 am they are also sold out....There are 4 or 5 sit down places to eat the hog maw...but you have to be early...They are delicious, as are the beef head taco's, just dont look in the pot, there's a good chance something will be looking back at you...

Apricot if you want to try some tacos de cabeza, without all the other stuff, Manuel at the taco stand named El Grillo visible from Benito Juarez (he has a green cricket on the street) sells head tacos, but only uses the cheeks and they are pretty good... He closes around 2 pm..

If you had that same picture with a low tide, it would be a short line...I'm sure most of you have noticed that the pictures that are put out for the general population to admire, are always taken at the top of a high tide.

Yep I said this when the jetty started (how long has it been now?) that they just need to start thinking about how to pivot from the dumb cruise ship idea. Vendors could line the beginning of it, maybe fishing at the end, a bar in between? The next "phase" should be how to make the thing a little nicer looking, and then start the aforementioned development.

PRINT TELL NOTE

Home Port revoked work Constructora Manzanillo
By: Editor
12/08/2015
To detect irregularities in the allocation of the construction of the "Home Port" in Puerto Penasco, Sonora, the Secretariat of Public Administration decided to revoke the contract established by the Commission for Tourism Development of Sonora with the company "Constructora Manzanillo" to the development of the work. ...
The document states that the award of the work done to "Constructora Manzanillo" is inappropriate, since this work previously, had been awarded to the company Diamond Infrastructure and Industrial Projects (Ipidsa).
This situation had already been noted by William Garduza Urgell, director of Ipidsa, who through a letter, denounced pressures by the former head of the Commission for Tourism Development in Sonora, Javier Tapia Camou, to give the project construction Home Port, which then would be delivered to "Constructora Manzanillo".
The contract signed by the Cofetur and this construction company, established an amount of 208 million 769 thousand 229 pesos, with an implementation period of 4 September 2015 to 13 June 2016.
Additionally, as part of this contract, an advance in the amount of 50 million pesos for the construction of the work, which will be located in the municipality of Puerto Penasco be granted.
"The award of the contract is unfair to the company" Constructora Manzanillo ", since the work was already awarded, coupled with the fact that it was in after the working day of February 2015 date, the day when the Commission Tourism Development in Sonora, he was required to file year end to the Secretariat of Communications and Transportation (SCT) and the Secretariat of Public Function (SFP), "the operative issued by the federal agency.
As an immediate action mandated by the federal authority, indicated that the Port Authority, in coordination with the Cofetur should perform immediate repayment to the Treasury of the Federation, resources in the amount of 50 million pesos, plus financial income generated, resources that had been considered as an advance for the construction of the project.

If? there are large ships (1200-2000 people) operating from the Cruise Port, I could see some smaller operators operating from there.

But if it turns out that the people who sold the concept of a home port in RP under estimated the desire for cruising from RP and this
turns out to be un-profitable for all involved, then nothing will operate from there. The cost of keeping it open would be expensive.

Maybe as some have wished, a few bar's, restaurant's, taco stand's and fishing supply/bait shops on the jetty would be a better idea. ;)

Basically agree, but I think the Homeport will probably be the same situation as the airport. Minimal usage and a bored skeleton crew waiting and hoping for some action.
