MEXICO.- The hacker group known as Anonymous was able to hack the Mexican network Noticias MVS's web page, obtaining an unknown amount of confidential information, internal emails and documents, in addition to sending a powerful message to Mexico:
“During the last few years, Mexico has been involved in a series of controversies of all kind, political, social, and economical, in matters of security and information control. Journalists, informers and activists have been pressured to compromise their investigations, and in a very shameless manner real news have been clouded by a series of lies that have blocked the progress and growth of the country and its citizens.
The need of having control over everything and everyone has increased, and that includes media and people, whose purpose is to contribute information that will benefit life has been repressed.
This is why we condemn any type of act that obscures the reality of things, the same goes to the repression and violence this has created, in the same manner, we want to express our support to those who day by day, in spite of the sometimes demeaning situations, make their best effort to maintain the truthfulness in each and every one of their stories. We defend free expression and we will keep on fighting to keep it that way.
In the same manner we want to let you know that at the moment the MVS agency is now part of México Leaks, in an involuntary manner, given that its documents, emails, among other information is available through this platform.
