Take Luis Encinas (the road off Calle 13 that has the hanging street light) all the way toward NoReeleccion. Look for 22nd St., which is a few blocks before you get to No Reeleccion. On the left you will see a small place (restaurant, not a taco stand). It is decorated outside with white Christmas-style lights.
The food is excellent, and there is a great variety of real Mexican favorites. Francisco Grijalva and his wife Carmen Lopez are the owners and they run a very clean place. Francisco lived in New York for many years and is always happy to practice his English. Go see them and try the quesadilla with red chili and beef...yum!
