- 19 deaths and 440 new cases confirmed
Hermosillo, Sonora, August 7, 2021. After 19 deaths and 440 COVID-19 cases confirmed, Health Secretary Enrique Clausen Iberri invited the entire population to come to vaccinate as much as possible earlier to reduce Covid cases, avoid becoming seriously ill or hospitalized for this disease.
′′ The vaccine is contributing to lowering severe disease and also deaths; how many deaths could have been avoided if we had the vaccine available?", he said.

With the Delta variant being easier to spread, sadly, going back to masks, sanitizing mats, social distancing, good hygiene
and more people getting vaccinations are where to start. Enforcing these measures is what will help slow it down.

Limiting Mexico visitors along with crowds in bars, restaurants, stores and other venues is the next step if the above measures
don't slow the new cases down. Proof of vaccination could be next step as well.
Unfortunately Covid/Delta will be around with us for awhile, we are going to need to learn how to
manage it in order to live with it.
All of this applies to the US and other countries too.

Who wants to bet the border NEVER or not for a long time goes back to closing at midnight???????? They're doing the same bullshit at Lake Pleasant. They're using Covid as a bullshit cover reason to have "temporary hours". I guarantee a lot of this is centered more around budget cuts then covid. The Castle Creek 4 lane ramp is closed Monday - Thursday right now due to Covid. But on Friday Saturday and Sunday fuck it... Covid Who?! So stupid!!!
