Double check everything from CFE

Like many folks, we prepay our CFE bills in large chunks so we have a credit that runs for a few months.

The latest bills have arrived. We should have had a credit of 1885 pesos after the present bill was paid in full. Instead they were asking us to pay 644 P more, claiming our credit did not cover the entire bill.

Of course they tried to deny it, saying the "system " could not suddenly lose 1885 pesos. But after 2 meetings with a "boss" in the back offices they suddenly discovered their error and gave me back the credit I deserved. When I asked him where my money was, or in whose pocket it was sitting, he said the 1885 had been lost in the "system " and he found it for me ! He was quite proud for doing me such a favor.

I asked him how many times a month he encountered this problem, and he said : "not more than 2 or 3 "

The boss admitted that if I had just paid the 644 my 1885 credit would have been stolen by the "system" and gone for good.
