Lots of flowers past Kitt peak and amazing purple ground cover for miles between Sonoyta and RP!

Zero Pot Holes on the Coastal Highway to Santo Tomas

The border crossing National Guard guys were checking pretty much nothing….good time to bring down that 10hp Honda to putter around near shore on a flat day.

The road south of the border is now striped …two lanes with a 2f space for vendors to annoy between lanes looks great.

Border was the opposite of busy…ghost town down here but parr for the course….

Yesterday traveled some back roads north of RP, any land that had been graded was packed with wildflowers one piece of land was jammed with Desert Lilly's also called Ajo Lilly's.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hesperocallis

I also drove the coastal highway today RP to San Luis, no wildflowers but the old scrubby plants we green and looked nice. Pot holes galore, but still a really nice drive. Had lunch at Mr. Choby's https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g1753703-d8414791-Reviews-Mr_Chobys-San_Luis_Rio_Colorado_Northern_Mexico.html and headed for Mexicali another nice drive through the ejido farms.. got a room, drank 2 coffees, went for a walk over to the Calafia bull ring, where in 1988 I went to an IBF world title fight between Maromero Paez and Calvin Grove, former world champion Sean O'Grady was the T.V, announcer back to the U.S.. Walked from Calafia to a restaurant we used to go to to eat Ancas de Rana.. Holy cow was it ever different,, My wife had a Pacific lobster and I had crema de camaron served in a bread bowl..
