"The shell had his number on it. The blood ran into the ground. Where his chest ought to have been they pinned the Congressional Medal, the DSC, the Medaille Militaire, the Belgian Croix de Guerre, the Italian gold medal, The Vitutea Militara sent by Queen Marie of Rumania. All the Washingtonians brought flowers. Woodrow Wilson brought a bouquet of poppies."

- From the concluding lines of John Dos Passos' novel 1919 -

My brother Richard served with a marine Air wing in Vietnam in 1 963.The stories were pretty horrible. He came back with a brain injury and although we had some good times until he died he never really came back.If you know any guys just out try to give an extra hand up....

There are so many to remember...

" we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain that the nation shall have a new birth of freedom and that government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth.".
