Mini-Guide: How to Plan Your Vacation to Rocky Point (Or Anywhere Else!)

The entire point of going on a vacation, is to relax, to kick-back and enjoy the experience, whatever it may be. For some, simply relaxing on the beach for a few days or kicking back on the porch of their condo, rental or hotel, is the perfect idea of vacation. There are others however that wish to get out, adventure, see what there is to see, and have an exhilarating experience that they will surely never forget.

Both types of vacationers need to have a plan, to some degree, because after all, a vacation is supposed to be an enjoyable time, without the stresses of having to make last-minute decisions and reservations. Even some simple goals will help in planning your vacation, and make sure you don't end up with a headache and more stressed than when you departed.

Some easy, simple, and effective goals can be:
  • Know where you will stay
  • Have an idea of where some of the local attractions and points of interest are.
  • Know a few places where you would like to eat.
  • Have a list in mind (or on paper) of the things you'd like to do while you're there.
  • Save business, work, and chores, for when you're back to your "other" life, vacation is not the place to be answering business calls, writing work emails, or worrying about anything!

Whenever you go on a vacation, there are certain things you will want to take. Things like snacks, water, toiletries, and other things that you will use frequently, are all things that you will not want to forget. Forgetting something important can turn a vacation into a stressful, worrisome time. Remember, you don't want to be distracted by other things when you're on vacation, you just want to enjoy it!

Before you depart for your trip, whether it be by air, sea or land, you should always make sure you have everything you'll need. You should double, maybe even triple check that you have everything you plan to take.

This last little bit of planning is a very important step in being able to enjoy your vacation! When you're absolutely sure that you haven't forgotten anything, it's time to depart. If you're driving your own vehicle, make sure it is prepared mechanically for the journey, simple things like checking tire pressure, motor oil, and coolant, can save a lot of time on the road, and prevent a lot of stress!

Now, finally, it's time to relax and enjoy everything you've worked for. It's Vacation Time! But there's still a few things to keep in the back of your mind while you're there!

  • Know where you are! Don't get lost or so distracted that you lose track of where you need to go to get back to your hotel, condo, or rental home.
  • Remember that you're not a local! You're probably a little unfamiliar with the place, so you need to keep in mind that maybe there are places that are more dangerous late at night, and to be cautious about who you be-friend along the way.
  • Don't get carried away. Sure, it can be exciting to be in a new place, or to be somewhere you don't have to worry about being recognized, but remember that you still must respect the authorities and local laws still apply to you too.

Remember, vacationing (Especially in Rocky Point!) is a very enjoyable experience. And if it is done right, it can be an unforgettable, perfect time that will be worth every penny and minute that you spent planning and getting ready for it.
