I sent what the state of Indiana considers a certified birth certificate with my passport application in (after being OK'd by the passport office here in Phoenix,) and one month later, a letter comes back telling me that it is not acceptable and gives me 90 days to submit something that they will take.
If they don't receive anything, my paperwork will be sent back and I'll have to start over and pay again. Now what? Granted, the birth certificate is 52 years old but should that make a difference? I guess I'll send for a new one and try that but it just makes me mad. More money and hassle for nothing!:x Argh!
