New passport is a bad monkey!

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090711/ap_on_bi_ge/us_chipping_america_iv

So crooks at the border with hand held scanners can read your information....call someone in your home town and break in to your house at leasure because they now know where you are at all times. yikes
Much ado about nothing.....the info on the rfid chip of the eCARD or new Passport does not contain identifying information, like address, etc. It's a unique identifier that proves that the passport is valid. Read the complete article that you linked.....

Of more concern (as was stated in the article) is the possibility of having rfid chips in vehicles, or embedded under the skin (as I've read that some companies are requiring of their employees)that let them track the individual.....Big Brother is Watching!
Many of the trucking companies use satellite technology to track their vehicles already, including the speed.... We already have gps chips in cellphones....that let the 911 call get routed to the proper police department, or let you track your kids (for a fee). I've read that there are cameras at many of the intersections in English cities....and with face recognition software, it would be easy to track people.....
