No Straws on the Malecon?

Just an interesting random note- was down at Señor Amigo on Monday for lunch and when the kids ordered lemonades the waiter told us they didn't have any straws. When my wife started to give him a furrowed brow he clarified that it was not that they had run out of straws, but rather there is a new municipal ordinance banning straws. Not sure what else this could impact or in which areas, but it was an interesting detail I had not heard or previously.

So if you don't enjoy gulping your margaritas, better have a couple straws in your purse or backpack!
