The Vivancos have become "ambassadors" for Rocky Point and brag about its sunrises and sunsets like this one that tourists are enjoying from the old port.

Life on the beach in Rocky Point, Sonora is Eduardo and Alicia Vivanco's slice of heaven.
That's why the husband and wife opened a shuttle service in September - Rocky Point Rides - and eventually hope to turn it into a full-time venture.
"We have been going to Rocky Point for 19 years" on pleasure trips, Eduardo Vivanco says.
The owners of Cameo Designs, a custom, handcrafted tile and mural business in Tucson, the two eventually want to retire in Rocky Point, and hope to do so after the shuttle business grows.
In the meantime, Eduardo works in the shuttle business and the tile company. Alicia Vivanco works full time as an operations manager for a commercial and residential cleaning company to help pay the bills and helps out part time with Rocky Point Rides.
The couple and their 14-year-old daughter, Leyla, are spending more time in Rocky Point because of the shuttle business and continue to enjoy eating seafood, snorkeling, fishing, walking the beach and viewing the oranges, reds and yellows in the sunrises and sunsets.
"We enjoy living the life of beach bums," says Eduardo Vivanco, letting out a hearty laugh.
The Vivancos share with their clients their life experiences in Rocky Point. They built their Web site and list beaches, hotels, condominiums, golf courses, deep-sea fishing trips, restaurants and bars.
Eduardo Vivanco shuttles tourists, business people, students and Tucsonans who want to sit back and let someone else drive them to their destination.
Rosie Glover, director of Rocky Point Tourism and Visitor Assistance Office, says the Vivancos' service is needed.
"We need a steady, direct shuttle service from Tucson," says Glover, adding that most Tucson commuters who use other shuttles must go through Phoenix to get to Rocky Point.
"Eduardo and Alicia bring an enthusiasm and love for what they do. They are great ambassadors for Rocky Point."
