If you are already legally here with the proper documentation you can apparently shore fish. I read that early on in a descrition of restrictions ' People in Penasco have to eat' You can check it out but I remember reading in some official's comments. so break out the fishin gear if you are already here. !!

I wish! Is there a way to obtain proper paperwork to get there? I own a house in Cholla
This is what many people want to know. We are in town, but one of us would like to leave for a few days and then return. There are at least a half dozen explanations of whether and how this can be done. The city intended to allow residents in using rapid testing for a $90 fee, but they apparently did not receive the tests, and their accuracy has been called into question.

Yes all the confusing contradictory stuff allegedly announced is making thing much worse. Unfortunately from my experience this is typical here. Everyone is in charge, no one is in charge, everyone knows everything but no one knows anything for sure. I do hope no more 'smoke' is generated to obscure the issues and find solutions.

Just bought a second kayak for my girlfriend and we're absolutely FOAMING at the mouth to get down to Cholla Bay...

ED B is absolutely killing it from shore the last month and a half in CHOLLA BAY! Every picture I see of CB on the internet the last 40 days the water has been PERFECT!!!! The last 3 or 4 Mays have sucked because of the wind. SOOOOOOOOOOOO READY!

Ed B is killing it from shore? What's he killing? Are the corvina back?
Yep! He's "stuck" in CB for the last few months, isolating on the shore, solo fishing. Has the whole damn bay to himself! Well, knowing Lucky Chucky, I bet he's wetted a line or two, too. Corvina and Halibut. One big Corvina that I think was Orange Mouth... maybe I shouldn't be giving away Ed's location and personal life LOL sorry brother! Won't say anymore. Can't wait to rent one of those large party mats from you! Perfect for Tucson Beach!

All good. I’ve been fortunate to be “stuck” here. April and first part of May have been for me some of the best shore fishing I have ever experienced in my little cove here in Cholla.

Lucky Chucky hasn't infringed upon your spot has he? He's been known to like that little sand beach pocket to your 1 o clock looking at Black Mountain from your patio... numerous Blair family Halibut have been pulled from that little spot.

Duuude I cannot wait, yeah I've been seeing some of those photos and it looks perfect! I've been wanting to get one for the ol lady as well, thinking I might get another wilderness system tarpon 120 or 100 for her. I've put some time in at work for mid June crossing my fingers they'll open by then.

I’m on the other side of Cholla Bay in Islas Del Mar. Very interested in getting a fishing kayak. I haven’t fished much in 30 years but grew up fishing everything from trout to marlin. I’m going back to the US in a while late June, but I’d like to connect with a kayak fisher in Cholla sometime to discuss boats, fishing gear and other particulars.

Ask away! I will tell you everything that I have learned in the 10 years of owning a sit on top fishing kayak! I do know that fishing the North side of the bay near Laguna shores if that's where Islas del Mar is will be tough because of the extreme tides. May be a lot of carrying the kayak to the water in and out.

Wilderness Systems boats are nice. The Tarpon 120 is legendary!
